About Me Art for me is a spiritual path. One which guides me through both calm and turbulent times. I seem to find growth and comfort in my creating times. My work has evolved over many changes in media and forms. I started out as a painter and within a few short years discovered that I lost the inspiration for painting. It didn't seem to be enough. So, quite by accident I found the art of doll making. The doll as an art form intrigued me like no other. It seemed other worldly, with a connection to cultures and rituals throughout history. Amazingly it seems I have come full circle once more and have found my way back to painting. Now more than ever I have discovered that using a variety of materials and techniques is what excited me the most in making art as well as the motive. It would seem that the process of making art is the one thing that matters most and not the media it is created from. |
